the Peregrino

My last post got lost in cyberspace, so I am way behind, I guess it is more than a week now. The trek has been going well. Since the last post i have been staying in refuges or albergues. They have all been fine, clean, and good facilities, sometimes a bit crowdes. They range from 28 persons to 100 and from 2 to a room to 38, and cost from a donation to 6 euros.
For dinner a pilgrims meal is offered at the refuge or close by. it is a three course meal consisting of soup or salad, both excellent, main course, desert of fruit or yogurt adn always the superb local red wine, 8 euros. Main corses include¨´hake to the vapour´´ Rape americano¨´ lamb chops´´ beef steak´pasta´paella´´ whole trout´´. once I ordered chicken and got fried eggs.
No spiritual revalation so far for me, but an Anglican Priest I walked with claims to have had a profound revalation. As well he was invite to participate in a mass and offer communion. But he told me of another Anglican Priest that took Communion and was hissed at. I guess they have yet to forgive old Henry the 8th from his dispute with the pope.
The journey continues to amaze, the countryside, The rolling wheat fields as far as one can see, vinyards, olive groves and the vallys and surrounding mountains, some still with snow on them. Then there are the delightfull villages, towns and cities.
