La Rambla, Barcelona,
What a trip, far to much partying before leaving Canada. Wed night at Burkes. Fri night my retirement party way to much wine and rum. Sat fly to Toronto, Bob Abbott picked me up at 10 PM and we drank rum and told lies until 4:00 in the morning.
Sun aft fly to Amsterdam amd on to Barcelona Mon. AM. Never slept a wink, I am exhausted and my old body aches.
Made my way to Plaza Catalunya and on to the ocean, then on to My hostel, it is on the beach and is not to bad. First thing a siesta. Slept until 6.00 PM and went for a stroll down la Rambla. It is teeming with people and just a great place for the ambience.
I am writing from the 9th floor of El Corte Ingles, a huge department store,great view of the city enjoying a cevaces.
There are scooters everywhere, everybody seems to smoke,the senioritas are beautiful and the architecture amazing.
I went for Dinner, Payella and wine and early to bed for a tour of the city tommorrow.
